Taking the kids to see Santa at the Bass Pro Shop has become an annual event. One more little one joined the tradition this year. You can't beat FREE carousel rides, games and photos with Santa.
Jeremy and I had the pleasure of watching Capri and Trevor on the night of Jeremy's work Christmas party.
The next day was the annual family reunion...I mean Hanukkah. Seriously, our family is ginormous. My mom did an amazing job hosting it this year.
Come on Brax, share the ball with Dylan... |
We also tried something new this year and went to see Christmas lights in Rancho with the Chadwick's and Roldan's. I love knowing that these are the things my kids will remember about their childhood. I also love Jamie Chadwick's impeccable planning, because we avoided a massive line of cars coming into the neighborhood.

Thank you so much for really committing to this photo |
Before we knew it Christmas Eve was upon us. Donna did such a great job hosting this year. I have a lot to learn from both my mamas.

Only adding a horrible photo of myself because it captured the meltdown of the one and only Braxton Cash Quinn |
And to time-out he went. |
And finally Christmas. The weather was warm and beautiful, which is fitting.
Sadly I didn't get too many pictures of the Chadwick Christmas gathering. Maybe I was a little pictured-out from a month of holiday festivities or maybe the champagne had me feeling a little too relaxed. Regardless, it was a beautiful evening. At the end of the day I was exhausted, yet overwhelmed with gratitude for all that we have. The end of the year somehow always makes me even more vividly aware of how lucky we are. I thinks it's the simultaneous reflecting back and looking forward that puts me in this extremely hopeful and peaceful place. And what a great place to be. I think I'll kick up my feet and stay awhile.
